The Base Alternative Provision offer is a collaboration between two charities - Young Swindon and Wiltshire and WAY - delivering innovative, engaging, and practical alternative provision for young people who may find mainstream education challenging.

We believe every young person has the potential to achieve, and we are committed to providing a carousel of creative, skills-based, and career-based opportunities to support their personal development, build confidence, and prepare them for success in education, employment, or training.

Our programmes are delivered in small groups by specialist teams, offering a high adult-to-young person ratio in a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment. At The Base, we put young people first, helping them develop essential life skills, build strong relationships with trusted adults, and transition confidently to adulthood.
